What is GMAT ?
The GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) is a standardized test designed to assess your analytical, writing, quantitative, verbal, and reading skills. It’s used by business schools around the world as a key component of their admissions process. The exam is computer-adaptive, meaning the difficulty of the questions adapts to your performance, providing a tailored and accurate assessment of your abilities.
GMAT Sections
The GMAT consists of four main sections:
- Analytical Writing Assessment (AWA)
- Integrated Reasoning (IR)
- Quantitative Reasoning
- Verbal Reasoning
GMAT Scoring
Each section of the GMAT is scored separately, and the scores are combined to give you a total score, which ranges from 200 to 800. The AWA section is scored on a scale of 0 to 6 in half-point increments, while the Integrated Reasoning section is scored on a scale of 1 to 8 in single-digit increments.
- The GMAT is a computer-adaptive test, meaning the difficulty of the questions adjusts based on your performance.
- The total test duration is approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes, including optional breaks.
